2018年8月14日晚，湖南省湘西土家族苗族自治州花垣县十八洞村，建筑工人正在加紧施工。十八洞村按照“立足农业 打造休闲体验观光旅游产业”的规划，进行旧村改造。由旅游公司施工改造，村民们不花一分钱，就可住上焕然一新的百年老屋。

2020年6月26日，云南省丽江市宁蒗县宁利乡白草坪村的大成易地扶贫搬迁新村，青年在篮球场上练习上篮。该易地扶贫搬迁安置点占地约10.02公顷，总投资2300万元，于2018年7月竣工，共建设完成特色民居60套，极大地改善了村民的居住环境。
