2019年6月1日,四川省凉山彝族自治州越西县普雄镇,乘客从5633次绿皮列车上下来,随身携带的“行李”是一袋袋土鸭。开行在四川大凉山腹地的5633/4次列车是成昆铁路上普雄至攀枝花间运行的惠民扶贫公益性“慢火车”。这趟列车不但运力大、票价低,还允许乘客携带赶集交易的活物牲畜,成为当地百姓探亲访友、务工赶集的首选。

2020年4月16日,贵州省遵义市桐梓县的桐梓火车站,列车员帮助到站菜农下车。往返于贵州省遵义市与重庆市的5629/30次普速列车,全程312千米,行驶10多个小时,最高票价23.5元,区间内最低票价2元。这趟穿行于山区的“绿皮火车”,沿线25个站连通很多村寨,目前仍是沿线民众赶集买卖、走亲访友、上学的重要交通工具。
