2017年2月19日，福建省福州市的闽江河口湿地，来自贵州边远贫困山区的一对夫妻捡拾垃圾。至今，夫妻二人在湿地捡垃圾已经8年了，既提供了经济来源，摆脱了贫困生活；也保护了湿地环境。

2017年11月16日，山西省吕梁市，应聘成功的村民与家人挥手告别，准备搭乘火车前往北京。2015年，针对吕梁市农村剩余劳动力多、文化程度低的特点和大城市护工短缺的情况，当地政府制定了护理护工免费培训精准脱贫扶助计划。目前，已有数万农村妇女通过培训掌握了护理技能，走出大山。
